Watch Your Step

Note: this blog is fraught with sarcasm.  In NYC, you have to watch your step; things can end in a moment.  You never know what can happen, especially with a rowdy crowd.

A bashful photographer, John Lee.

Here is a Break Dancing Series in NYC.  You guys have seen a little from this crew in previous blogs, but here's a nice little move.

FINE ART FRIDAYS: Central Park in Black and White

Central Park in Black and White.  Today is the start of Fine Art Fridays.  Every Friday, for the Fine Art Friday episode, I will post one of my gems.  It's about the art of the photo rather than the story.  Here's one of my favorite from my trip to New York, a scene in Central Park.

WALKABOUT WEDNESDAY Street Dancer Flip NYC

IT'S WALKABOUT WEDNESDAY FOLKS!  I want to introduce a new theme with Street Dancer Flip NYC.  Every Wednesday is going to be Walkabout Wednesday.  Think of it as a story, or a series of photos that come together to show an adventure, however big or small.  A Walkabout is formally defined as: 'a journey on foot undertaken by an Australian Aboriginal in order to live in the traditional manner.'  My stories on Walkabout Wednesday are journeys as well, taken [mostly] on foot and with my camera in an attempt to show the traditional manner of living of a particular person, group of people, or culture.

Today's Walkabout Wednesday features the grand finale flip at the end of a street performance.  This is a highly sought after trick, so enjoy the photos...

New York Taxis at Night

New York taxis at night.  They're not easy to catch in either photos or for a ride, but here's a little something for ya...

New York at Night

New York at Night.  Pardon the alliteration, but during our trip John Lee, Christie and I set a night aside for wandering the city and seeing the sights by moonlight.  Here's the first shot with many more to come.  Enjoy...

Elmo in Central Park

Elmo in Central Park.  There are a lot of ways to make a living, but I can't think of any better than this.  What a treat I stumbled upon in New York this weekend...
