Feltron Annual Report

Most people want to leave behind a legacy.  They want to have influenced culture, or left a mark on the people they love.  One man, Nicholas Felton, has figured out a way to do both.

In 2005, Nicholas decided to record everything that he did– and I mean everything.  He takes meticulous notes of all of his activities and interactions.  If he talks to a co-worker, he writes it down.  Every time.  To double check some of his more tedious records (18,824 iTunes songs listened to this year), he relies on services such as Last.fm, Netflix, and Flickr that record such things.  But, these don't just end up as spreadsheets.  Nicholas turns them into beautiful infographics that people can read now and will be able to read long after he passes.

I imagine that something like this would be a welcome tool for surfers.  Think about it: a record of every wave you take, every turn you make, every left, every right, every time you eat it.  How many paddles do you take, how many breaths do you take?  Improvement would occur at a much faster rate, and it would be cool to have a record of your surfing history.
