Turns are the bread and butter of surfing. The bottom turn, snap turn, and cutback help a surfer gain speed, shoot spray, and they just feel good. Magic Seaweed has some interesting digrams that show the path of a surfer on a wave for 'correct' form on a turn. Of course, every wave is different and correct form isn't necessarily the most interesting. Many surfers have unique styles and showcase unique turns. See if you can spot similarities between the turns and the diagrams that you see.
