In Paris, many things are much different than they are in California. Some differences are for the worse: rampant theft, mobs of tourists, angry drivers, and your typical 'snotty frenchman'. There are also many differences, however, which are a huge improvement. One of these many things is the food. Though it will 'coute' you a hefty centime more than American food, Parisian cuisine is well worth the extra money.
I've had all sorts of food here, everything from oysters and shrimp to filet mignon and skirt steak. My personal favorite, however, was canard (duck) cooked rare. Au Petite Riche is a typical French restaurant, and has remained unchanged since it was founded decades ago. If you're fortunate enough to visit, try the duck! Thanks Chris, Gina, Dustin, and Zach for taking me.
