Place de Vosges. Talk about something special, this is the oldest planned square in Paris. Construction started in 1605 under the guidance of Henry IV and it finished 7 years later in 1612. We wandered into Place de Vosges in the Marais district by accident, but what a pleasant surprise it was.
First, we traversed the incredibly crowded main hallway. And no, I know what you're thinking, there are no mirrors in this pictures, the hallway really is that long and that crowded. It's quite a place.
At the very end of the hallway, you come across L'Ambroisie, possibly Paris' most expensive restaurant. The cheapest dish on the menu is 120 Euro, and water will cost you no less than 20 Euro per person. The cheapest bottle of wine on the menu is 100 Euro. An average meal for two will cost around 800 Euro. So, unless you've perfected your dine-n-dash skills, or you want to get arrested and thrown in Paris prison, or you have lots of spare cash, this might not be the place for you.
After emerging past L'Ambroisie, you come to the boob statue that guards a marvelous courtyard (this statue, of course, was Dustin's favorite. I bet he has at least 10 pictures of it.)
And of course, 'Dude' the mole who chills at the Place de Vosges all day.
